well i use Backup exec for netware and NT without open file option and it runs fine only the open files (swapfiles etc) cannot be backupped due that their open (open file option just delays the active file till its closed then writes to the tape) Greetz Dev

hmmzzzz ,,, case of nlm's updating .. look at the GWIA nlm this is probably in use and wont update .. (mine abended on webaccess) see if its loaded and what version ( sp have updated nlms but still uses one old one.. extract the nlm in question and (backup the groupwise dir n nlms) replace it...

Hi i have a novell 5.1 server with a cpq internal 32 bits fast ultra wide scsi bus .. i connected the ultrium to the port. gave me a performance of 6mb sec now i seated an Adaptec 29160 Uw2 , and i get 7mb sec this tape drive has all the latest drivers CDMS , ETC ETc still only goes 7mb sec out...
