    Check table before data entry

There are probably much better ways to do this but how about creating a recordset based on a query of the salary table that uses the EmployeeID and PayDate from your form as criteria. Then test how many records are in the resulting recordset, zero would mean OK to enter the data, 1 would mean...

    LDB File

FancyPrairie, Thanks for the pointer. I understand where the tread was going and have considered something along those lines. My problem is the database I want to kick people out of is used by many different front end databases, but the worst people for locking the database when I need it...

    Contol Height

I'm confused! I have a report that in the detail section has a vertical line, and two text boxes with the "Can Grow" property set to yes. In this example, there are two detail records to be printed, one fits the text box fine, the other requires the text box to grow in order to fit...

    ListBox not returning all results

I have a listbox that is populated by a query. If I run the query I may get for example 100 results. When the query is run to populate the listbox, it only returns 6 results, however, if I make the listbox bigger, it will return more results! Am I going mad or has anyone else seen this?

    Remove Postcode from a string

Thanks for the pointers Phil. It's something that we would want to do on a semi regular basis as our raw data is in a mess and whenever we pull the data out for things such as a marketing mail merge, we want to format the data correctly. Unfortunately, the raw data doesn't have a field for...
