Excuse the cross-post, I also posted this in the Exchange 2007 forum, but I need to find an answer fast:
Since our migration from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007, Outlook 2003 users are constantly prompted to enter their user name and password. Checking the box to remember password has no effect. Every 5 - 10 minutes they're prompted to enter it again. If they click cancel, Outlook switches to offline mode. This only affects users still on Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007 users do not have the issue. I've read several posts from users having similar problems over VPN, OWA, etc, but these don't apply here. These are local users on the same subnet as the Exchange server.
Anyone else encountered this and found a fix? One post I read walked through troubleshooting WINS, but WINS shouldn't be necessary in a Server 2003 only environment.
