pc is fixed... i went out and bought a new motherboard and put everything in it and set it up... everything works fine... i was looking at the old motherbord and i noticed 1 of the fan bracket legs that clips onto the motherboard was broken eh... i think i bought it that way and didnt know... so...

ooook... heres the deal the memory is fine... i tested it on another computer... i took my hard drive out of my computer and connected it to another and reformatted and reinstalled windows xp... then i took the old hard drive and connected it to the other compter but now the computer will not...

moniter is back on.. everything seems to be working fine except for the whole restarting bit... will be checking the memory tonight when i get home. powersupply didnt seem to be the prob cause all i did was reset the jumpers on the mobo... then the moniter came on with no probs

if removing the battery does not work reset the jumper next to the battery by removing it and reseting it.. that will always reset BIOS

sorry its takin so long to get replys back out... but i keep having to go to patents house and use thier pc to get your replys... but i printed the last part and will do mem test tonight and let ya know.

i got the moniter to come on by reseting the jumpers on the mother board.. when u said reset the bios it didnt register in my head untill i got home... the moniter works great now bios is set back up but it still keeps restarting on its own... quite confusing.. i can spend all day in dos but...

ok. here is the problem... i started getting this message error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. and my pc would randomly restart on its own... but it would work just fine in safe mode... i try to uninstall win xp and reinstall it but it would just keep restarting as soon as it loaded the screan...

Hi. Ive had this same problem... i formatted my pc and now my moniter will not come on... i know the moniter works cause i tested it on another pc... i dont think its the graphics card.. (nvidia 5300)... however i did change it out to a old card i had layin around (voodoo 3) and still the same...

i suggest you buy a good book on access 2000 and look for the little icons that usually says "NEW IN 2000", there are LOADS of em. Especially for the fact that you might end up having to explain to some Manager / Director, why you are spending money on software, AGAIN...
