You need to start by looking at what your budget is. You have 55 users and a very poor LAN set up. You will need to design a domain and install Active Directory.
Do your users belong to a remote office?
There are number of things that you need to look at here.
1. Make sure that the Host agent Service has started. This could stop if the SMS client is uninstalled from the server. It will not work if you just start the service manually. You will need to remove the Management Point and...
I see your point. There is no need to upgrade then. You might find this interesting

I would suggest to you upgrade to SMS 2003 sp2. I don't know your setup, but it is much better. How good is the link between the Parent and Child servers. Do you have users that move around?
When a backup occurs it uses the account that sql server is running under for the permissions. When you do it through Explorer etc it uses your permissions (or
the currently logged in users). Check to ensure the account that Sql Server is running under is a domain account with rights to that...
Hi Oucats,
Once you loose a Blackberry, you as Administrator, will be able to Kill the device. This will delete all the emails on the device.
You can also contact the provider to bar the device from being used again.
SQL Server and SQL Server Agent run as NT services; note they are separate services. The message is telling you that the Agent service is not
running.
Thus you can connect to the datbase, run queries etc - the services

If u find any changes, u have to rebuild master
database using "RebuildM" utility that comes in SQL
Server CD.
Note: Before rebuilding the Master DB...

Removing the SMS clients is not always streight forward, but that is what you will have to do. There is a good web cast on Microsoft by Wally Mead. He is the SMS guru. Check it out.
There are also number of referneces on the Blackberry site where they say that for the BB to work effectivly you must have the same version software on the server and device. Also try using Desktop Manager 3.6 Service pack 3a. It solves few problems and it is available for download from...
I am using the 7100 at the moment with BES. It is v.good. I think this will really be good once the new software comes out. The new version is 4.0 and it should be coming out end of Jan.
You will also need to check that in your desktop manager you go to Options | Connection settings and make sure that the the device is detected. You will see the PIN of your device.
Also make sure that in the Desktop Manager under Redirector Settings | Security it is set to Generate key...
