I understand what you are saying. line con 0 is configured correctly. line vty 04 is configured correctly again. The issue is when I Telnet into the router. It prompts me for a password and I put the password it.

then I get the following

When I telnet into a Cisco Router and put in my VTY Password I am going straight into Privileged mode (router#) instead of User Mode (router>), which should be the case. I do see in the config that the enable secret password is in place but I am still getting the same effect. Anybody have any ideas?
