What I've discovered is that, for some reason, Word and Excel don't exit properly. If you Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get the task list, you will often see that MSWord or Excel is still running. End task on it, and that should release the lock on the file.

Whenever I had a problem with IE, I have had to close IE and try again (and by close, I mean *all* IE windows), or to reboot the computer. That has always cleared up the problem. That was always under Win98, and I have had no problems under WinXP Pro. At least, not yet. :)

So I set up an inbound message to allow traffic from all outside addresses to the network address on the inside, and I set up, what, a static route from the outside IP address that I have to the inside network address? And that's all?

Yeah, I thought about that, but I was hoping to limit it by user, rather than by IP.
Also, stopping relaying this way keeps that IP from using the mail for internal stuff.

Is there any way to limit relaying by user?
In other words, I'm trying to grant internet email access to certain individuals, and allowing the rest only to send mail within our domain.
Thanks...

We have had two cases recently where Outlook began prompting for a password to access a PST file. The thing is that it will show what's in the PST file for a while, it's only while doing a Send/Receive that the password seems to be required. Also when I used a password cracker on one of the...
