If you go to the main backup server, and open the veritas console, go to backup and select the remote server. Are the admin shares c$ grey ? If you right klik the remote server and select properties, is the remote agent version in sync with veritas?

He EGR, I updated the remote agent in the normal way. Go to the veritas console and go to tools/serial numbers and instalation. Veritas will find the old version remove it and install the new remote agent. !!! SERVER NEEDS A REBOOT AFTER THIS. with the SQL agent i dont have any expiriance...

Veritas problem whas solved by doing the folowing: on the remote server go to c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services (open with notepad) And a the folowing rule: ndmp 9000/tcp #Network Data Management Protocol Reboot the server and problem is solved. Gr Jeff
