I basically want to be my own ISP.
I have a dedicated phone line plugged in to one of the servers.
It has one lan card that is plugged in to a switch which is accessing the internet.
I want to be able to dial in to my 2000 server from a remote phone line and have access to the servers...
I have just set up Windows 2003 Server controlling the domain, dhcp,dns, and users.
How can I set it to hide certain items when a user logs in to the network? For example hiding the control panel, protecting clock settings, hiding the run button in the start menu?

It's all pretty much for eduacation. I want the internet to come in through this server and out to the workstations. (there's not many).
DHCP is disabled on the modem. But it will still only let you communicate with it if you are in the 192.168.1.* scope.

i dont understand what you are trying to do on your network. why 2 nics in the server, you trying to run ics on the server? what is the ip on the 2nd interface in the server? what is your gateway address? you using dns forwarders?"

I disabled DHCP on my Westell 6100 Modem. The VC Settings are set for a static ip and as a routed bridge.
The server, workstations, and the westell modem are plugged directly into the switch.
