I did compile it. I even made an MDE file. That made no difference.
I suspect that the error message is an indication of a bug in the packaging program.
For today, I am going to work around it by loading the Runtime routines using a disk I already made and then copying my Access...
I am trying to package a large Access program. I keep getting Error 5: Invalid Procedure Call or Argument.
I understand what the problem is but I haven't a clue where to find the statement or procedure that causes it.
Can anyone help?

If I distribute an application using Runtim to a mchaine that ahs full access on it, will I mess up the custoemr's computer?
I don;t even want to try on my own computer until I know.

This may be a year after the question, but I ahd the same problem and did extensive research. Waht I found out was that with an attached database, the program is truely slow unless you install the execution program on each user's computer and the databse on the server.
If you export an Outlook Address table to Access, you get all fields. If you link the same table to Access, you do not get all of the data fields. Is there a way to change the link to include additional fields (I need the Suffix field)?

I would like to use VBA within Access to set the link for a picture variable. I can do this manually but it woudl be helpful if the program can do it.
The manufacturers supply the pictures in the form of /directory/part number.jpg.

I have no problem doing it manually. However, I ahve an inventory of 100 or so items. The pictures are all identified as ItemNumber.jpg in a secified directory.
Does anyone know how to generate the link automatically?
