Anyone know of a way to append a "#" after the inter-digit timer expires whilst dialling out? My system is connected via an 2 wire XCOT card to a satellite earth station that requires the "#" to indicate end of dialling to complete the call. I'd like this done automatically as most of the users...
I'd like to set up click to dial using CCT with an option 11 running x21 4.5. CCT documentation suggests that 2500 sets are supported with some limitations. Given that my situation is for outbound calls (unforced) should I be concerned about using analogue sets?
TIA
John
It was always the case that Digital Trunks had to go in the main cab. I can't recall if this changed recently with the introduction of the successsion releases, however given that you can move an analogue trunk/xdlc/falc card with overlay 25 easily, I would shift a card to one of your new...
Thanks John, I was hoping that was the case, however I've had my doubts about different site IDs given that if you do an XBAK on an 11C and then try to load that config into another sytem, it barfs saying there's a site ID mismatch with the one in the Backup file. Does this mean there's not Site...
Have a situation whereby I need to replicate the config of a Release 23 Opt 61 in a Opt 61 that is release 25.40. Can anyone tell me if this is feasible an perhaps summarize the steps required to achieve this.
Many thanks in advance
Assuming its an option 11, an EDD should do the job. This is stored in non-volatile memory. Should your backup batteries discharge, the system will come back as it was. Just be aware, that if power is interupted a few times with no battery cabs connected, SSCs get damaged. From my experience you...
It seems obvious to me having, worked for a hardware vendor in a past life, to create a tool to help migrate customers from one platform to another would be a great idea. However there doesn't appear to be a tool to do this for Norstar to BCM. Does anyone know of one? I'd hoped to do an acquire...
David,
Apologies for being thick, are you saying I should be able to do OLP with NRU 11 on UK releases or is NRU only of use to do backups and configure systems online?
TVM
John
I'm trying to get my head round this OLP stuff. Test system is UKCICs RLS3 and I'm using NRU release 11. The workbooks I have are all naicsX.xls files. Is it safe to assume the map file inconsistancies I'm getting when I try to do this are down to the fact that I'm using North American...
Perhaps I did not explain myself that well. The way I see this working is that you don't have a multitech at both ends of the link, ie. BCM at one end of IP WAN and Multitech at the other. Multitech makes H.323 calls to BCM and vice-versa. Given that Multitech's implementation of H.323 is pretty...
IP Address=My.BCM50.With.Alarm RTP=0
This suggests to me that during H.323 setup with the far end, the BCM 50 is not allocating a RTP port for the media path, or to use the correct term "logical channel" This process is defined by H.245 which is responsible for determining the master slave...
I've seen a BCM200 with this, although in my case sometimes it would go green momentarily. Internal traffic was OK, however, the BRI module would trip in and out. The red light is invariably a hardware fault, in my case it was the PSU rails flctuating. Changed PSU, everything fine and dandy...
I may be stating the obvious so forgive if you know this already, but you have to go from 2.5 to 3.01 first before going to 3.7 . It's a two stage process
I think you're probably looking at something like a multitech voip gateway box that would have a FXS/FXO port on it. The only thing is it would probably require an IP trunk keycode to make it work. There's no such animal as an IP ATA in Nortel Land.
