    Parameter Prompt - Display Selection

I found the answer to part 1. If I do this in a function: Join({?MyParameterName}, ",") I get a comma delimited list of the selections. However, I am thinking it may not be possible to do this in a template. If anyone has any ideas I would welcome them!

    Parameter Prompt - Display Selection

Two questions here: 1. In the report header, I am displaying the selections made from a dynamic parameter prompt. However, this only works in the case when a single option is selected. How can I display ALL the selections made by the user instead of just the first from the list? 2. I am...

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

Thanks so much!! The Citrix user path was the right way to go. Due to our Citrix configuration, the IE security settings are unique to each login. I had to have access to IE, and then I changed my Internet (not intranet) security settings to enable scripting. All is well!! Yeah!

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

I asked that question and was not answered. But I think you are on the right track. We are setting up Crystal Server as well, and we discovered that each person who logs in needs to reset the home page for IE to get to Crystal Server AND they need to make that home page a trusted site. Doing...

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

mwrowley, We just checked it, and scripting was already set to enabled on the intranet settings. My administrator said that it should apply to any user. I don't know much about Citrix - could there be some setting in the Citrix presentation software itself that disables the javascripting?

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

AH! We did "INTERNET" not "INTRANET". We will try again and I will post the result here. Thanks!!

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

slafosse, I did have our administrator change the scripting options to allow java script to be run in IE and it didn't work, but I didn't investigate whether there is a difference between regular users and administrators. Perhaps he enabled it only for administrators and it didn't fix it for...

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

Fascinating - thanks for the tip. I'll let you know when we've made any progress. We are getting ready to install service pack 4 to see if that helps at all. Have you tried that?

Citrix 4.5 Crystal Reports XI parameter dialog issue

We have installed the desktop version of Crystal Reports XI on our Citrix Server (version 4.5) and for the most part all works well. But when a parameter prompt is created and the dialog pops up, pressing "OK" and "CANCEL" turns the buttons blue, but nothing happens - we have to close the...

Crystal Report XI Over Citrix - Parameter Dialog fails

I spoke to someone who advised me to try enabling scripting in Internet Explorer. I tried that and it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas? Without parameters we are truly crippled. SAP just blames it on Citrix, but I suspect it may have more to do with some kind of server...

Crystal Report XI Over Citrix - Parameter Dialog fails

We use XI (Release I) over Citrix. (I don't know the Citrix version at the moment but can get it if needed.). Almost everything works fine. But.... Say I create a report with dynamic parameters and run the report. The parameter dialog appropriately pops up and allows data to be input. But...

help combing multiple columns into one in sql

I'm going crazy!! Someone who didn't really understand relational database theory (not like I'm an expert, but. . .) built a DB that is much more complicated than it needs to be. That person left and I got the job. I have to work with our IT people to hopefully redesign it completely (I would...

combining multiple records in one field

Okay, I still get the same error for the following. SELECT Courts.Court, Concatenate("SELECT Year FROM ProjPerCourt WHERE Court =" & "'" & [Court] & "'") AS Years FROM Courts; I did check to make sure and Court is text, so I would think this would be right. I've even checked to see if I have...

That makes sense--thanks. I still don't know very much sql or code and I don't always realize the little things like that.

combining multiple records in one field

Okay, I went into that sample, and copied the sql to try to redo it for my query. This is what it looks like now: SELECT Courts.Court, Concatenate("SELECT Year FROM ProjPerCourt WHERE Court =" & [Court]) AS Year FROM Courts; But when I try to run it I get "Compile error in query expression...

combining multiple records in one field

Okay--this is kind of an odd request. . . I have a table that lists courts and the year they completed a project. So frequently a single court may have completed projects in multiple years. Obviously, the query lists them per record as follows: Court#1 2000 Court#1 2001 Court#1 2002 etc. I...

    Calendar--showing items between start/end date

Okay--did that--the funniest thing happens. All the courses are there and correct with start/end and all between. But this one course which occurs in June 2004 for 2 days is appearing on every day of every month of all the years in the DB! New sql: SELECT qryCreateCalendar.CalendarDay...

    Calendar--showing items between start/end date

Sure--I have a table called Nos that lists numbers 1-42. I have an unbound form (frmCalDate) with a calendar control (CalDate) so the user can select the start of the month they wish to see. Then following is qryCreateCalendar: PARAMETERS [Forms]![frmCalDate]![CalDate] DateTime; SELECT...
