Some confusion at the moment.
I want to be able to attach the filer to a SAN so I can do off-site backups using NDMP. It's this component that I need to know which filer HBAs can be attached to an EMC connectrix without upsetting the support on it....
Hi,
I'm trying to find whether a NetApps filer (F825c) can be be attached to an EMC ED64m connectrix switch (really a McData 6064 I think) in a supported configuration. But I can't find anything about NetApps on the EMC support matrix.
Any help ?

If this only just started to occur then it is hard to see it as anything other than a hardware issue. Check your memory usage on the media server during backup. OTM can require more memory than standard backups. Try disabling/uninstalling the OTM option if you suspect that it is a problem.
There aren't any specific timeouts for LTO2 drives - create a bptm log on the media and see whether there is any correlation between tape mounts/dismounts and drives going down. Check that you haven' got a unmountable / cleaning tape mixed in with your usable pools.
Within an SSO environment where the master server is configured as robotic control host and volume database host do the media servers that have access to the same drives need to communicate with each other? If so on which ports?
