If it is stuck in connecting and never goes CONNECTED it is a comms issue - make sure the client gets a responce (NB version of Master) from bpclntcmd -sv or -pn (port number).

If there is one policy with three schedules check the date range used in the restore. If it is three different policies check that the client names are exactly the same on all of the policies and it is the same being used in the restore. Not sure why your using three different policies for one...

You can check the speed after the backup has finished with the bperror command but to monitor the backup you'll need to read bptm log and search for Kbytes/sec
