I do something like this
I get my info from an oracle table in another card specific to the filename.... I change the attachment name dynamically. This might be more complex than you need, you might just want -ATT " + GETFILENAME(input),TEXT(input)

I am not sure I totally understand the error, but if you are saying it's running out of space on the mainframe, I have gotten around something like this in the past by pre-allocating and appending to the file on the mainframe.

From what I read on netrc you have to be sure $HOME is set.
I modified hostnames/ips/emails for sec reasons, but here is the output from command line, and mercator. It's simply not picking up the .netrc file. I have a default statement for all ftps not in the list...
This does work in our test environment, but causes crashes in our production environment. It has been stable in test for a couple of weeks, but not at all in production. I can't find any maps or "check scripts" reading it, but I suspect that may be a majority of the problem.
So it won't work with netrc then? I would think that if it's generic FTP then it sould look for it, especially since the trace looks like normal ftp. Could it be that it does not get the $HOME environment variable?
I tried moving the location of the launcher.txt file from /opt/mercator to /opt/mercator/trace/launcher/launcher.txt in the mercator.ini file. This resulted in a crash. The file is generated with permissions 666. My umask is for 770. any file i create gens as 660. Anyone have any idea why...
