Hi there,
I'm finishing up a site but I'm vexed by this problem. I have an orange header at the top of each page. Home, About Us, Coverage Highlights and EIL Coverage all have the orange header in the same place. But when you click "Compare Your Coverage" the orange header jumps down. I removed...
Hi there again,
I'm finishing up a site but I'm vexed by this problem. I have an orange header at the top of each page. Home, About Us, Coverage Highlights and EIL Coverage all have the orange header in the same place. But when you click "Compare Your Coverage" the orange header jumps down. I...
You ... my friend ... are awesome!!!
I can't tell you how much time I spent on the internet trying to make this simple effect happen.
A star for you Chris .... and many thanks.
Hi there,
Basically, I'm trying to create vertical navigation and although I've succeeded in getting the rollovers to work the way I want ...they lighten up when you mouse over them .... I can't get the current link (in this case aboutus.com) to STAY a lighter color...
Lord, I wish I could get a screenshot on Vista (I tried) but if I succeeded, I don't know where the heck it saved to. I actually have a Mac powerbook that runs Vista so I'm not used to Windows really. I just look at my websites with it. I'm glad you don't see the problem (the client hasn't...
Hi All .... I'm building a site which looks fine on a Mac in any browser, but when I check the site on my PC (Vista) with Explorer, I'm getting slight borders around the images in the left side menu area. It actually displays fine when the page is first loaded, but the trouble begins when I do a...
This Spry stuff isn't easy for me but after lots of trial and error, I've managed to change the default font, colors and spacing of the menu bar to what I want. One thing I cannot seem to achieve is that I want to center the menu bar on the page (which resides in a centered table). The only...
That's unfortunate alright. Perhaps you can find something at http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ .... then search for "file recovery" Perhaps "Data Rescue" or "Tech Tool Pro" will do the trick.
Good Luck!
I had a huge website that wouldn't update properly about 10 months ago. The reason I believe was because I jumped up two versions with the Dreamweaver upgrade (a couple pages updated ...most didn't). I ultimately had to "Modify> Templates> Detach from Template" .... Then create a new template...
Assuming you have a printer's proof of the the DVD-Cover and CD-Face, the best you can do is calibrate your monitor to match those proofs you were given (individually), then color correct from there.
I'm not sure what "type set as part of image" means, except maybe they wanted this in layers...
Congrats on completing such a huge site. Quite an accomplishment in itself.
The top banner is so huge. The logo ... the two storks tapping the castle/flag and the words "Governance Division" should be the focus ... (whatever a Governance Division is) ... that should be the focus ... not the...
I'm not sure I understand your question either but maybe you mean this ...
Create layer one.
Pick red from color picker and fill with red red.
Create layer two (make sure it's on top and selected).
Pick brown in color picker.
Select gradient tool - foreground color (brown) to transparent...
I'm in the process of rebuilding my site which has built up a LOT of code over the years. I've specified new css type styles (and link colors) for the page ... but my links continue to be blue! I realize blue is Dreamweaver's default link color but I thought I changed that.
Once I straighten...
Thanks ArtGuy!! That was a good catch.... but that didn't work for me. When I Googled this problem... I found that most folks forgot to close their head or body tags.
I guess I'm going to try to rebuild this monster from scratch.
Hi All .... I'm on Dreamweaver 8.02.
I started this site around 1999 http://www.bigbandsandbignames.com/ and redesigned it about five years ago. Now I want to change some of the design and start removing the glut of coding that's built up over the years. My first task was to change the logo ...
