Changing Templates

I would like to change the template for a few of the pages that use iton my site. I can see how to detach a template but that does not doit. If I drag the new template I want to use from the asset panel itjust adds an additonal template. Is there some simple way to justswitch from one template to another?

If I understand what you're saying, how about ...
File> New> Templates> then choose your new "detached" template.
