Got the latest patch'd eTrust 7.1 running on a new Netware 6.5 sp2 box. Seems to work fine for the exception of auto download of signatures from CA's website. The error I get is; Unknown error 2250. This happens right after it attempts to connect to CA's ftp server. I can ping...
Actually it's for the actual signature download.
Example: fi_w9x.exe /s
fv_w9x.exe /s
I just made a entry in the login script same as above and every time a w98 user logins it updates their signature.
No, haven't solved the problem however I came up with a alternative solution. For my w98 boxes I have in the login script the /s switch to update manually. Not the most elegant solution but it is functional.
I bit the bullet and gave CA a ring. It uses IIS as the actual web server. In a nutshell you have to make certain IIS is installed PRIOR to eTrust.
It be REALLY nice if CA by offering actual tech help on their website. At least a form of searchable knowledgebase.
I find myself in the same boat just this morning. NOTHING on CA's website pertains to it. Same goes for eTrust 7 docs. The minute I find out I'll post it here. I swear CA does this just to piss us off :(
