Thanks John. Appreciate the advice and I'm going to try doing that with another similar case I have. In this case, the extension needs to be forwarded to a number with is in a different office. Is that possible as well? Do I just enter the full number with area code as ncfw?
Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Stacyjo5, when I try to set NCFW to the voicemail DN, which is the same as the extension, I get an error SCH0430. Any way around this?
That's a good idea. Temporarily plug the phone directly into the patch panel. Problem is, I don't know how to determine which patch corresponds to this TN.
Not sure how to go about that. What I've done right now, though, is moved that particular DN to a spare TN to which nothing is attached. When I called the extension, it does go to voicemail. Could that be since it hasn't become disabled yet?
Is it possible to have a phone disconnected from the outlet and yet still have the calls go to voicemail? The user wants the phone to be disabled for the next week or so since he won't have a desk, but he'd still like to be able to retreive his voicemails. This is a Meridian system (phone is a...
A user is moving to a workstation where there is an analog line and he is keeping his existing phone which is a 2006. How do I change the line from an analog to a digital?
Is there a way to disable incoming voicemails, but still keep the external greeting? A user is going on holidays and would like to inform his users to call other numbers if they call his line, but does not want them to be able to leave a message. Thanks.
I printed out my personal phone as I have 2 lines. I'm assuming you mean ld 20, prt, tnb? Both keys are the same number. I don't see much different between my own phone and her phone. Is there another way to check what rollover I may be using?
Thanks.
With the help of this post, I was able to configure the second line of a moved phone. I have the same extension configured for key 0 (MARP) and key 1. However, when I pick up the receiver, both lines light up and the second line doesn't ring when one line is in use. Any suggestions?
I'm new to the world of telecom systems, so I hope someone can help me out here.
A user would like to change their phone from a 2006 to a 2008, but she will retain her extension as well as her location. I know how to swap locations if the users are switching workstations, but not sure how you...
