Transfer to Voice Mail in Cisco Call Manager 4.x

To transfer a caller directly to voicemail you'll need to create a new Voicemail Profile and CTI route point. For the purpose of this discussion we will say your dialing plan has the leading digit of "5" set aside for DIDs and you have four-digit extensions. Also, we will be using the "*" key...

Norstar 8x24 expansion & StarTalk questions

Techtel - not sure I'm understanding. Do I need something in addition to the 12x0 and the 2 port copper expansion card or am I barking up the wrong tree and will need to go with the 4-port trunk mods as you stated? Also, to answer the question about the Startalk, I believe that it is a 2 port...

Norstar 8x24 expansion & StarTalk questions

I've got a client with an 8x24 that currently has 7 incoming business lines and 13 phones attached. AA call transfer to GDM instead of reception mailbox...

Just to clarify, here's what's going on... Caller dials main number, immediately goes to AA. Caller presses "0" for Operator (which is ext. 28) and ext. 28 rings 8 times. Instead of going to v.m. for ext. 28, the caller hears "The operator is not available" message. I would like this call to...

AA call transfer to GDM instead of reception mailbox...

For starters, this is an Norstar 8x24 with StarTalk 4 port running DR5. When callers zero out of the AA message they ring the appropriate number of times at the reception station (ext. 28) and then the caller hears "The operator is not available". I would like these calls to be transferred to...

Users can pick up calls on lines in use

I'm new to the Norstar and I've been wrestling with this one for a couple of days now... When a user is on the phone another user can pick up the line that is in use and listen in on the conversation. I'm wondering if I can turn this "feature" off so the conversation remains private? Thanks, PC
