Hello Smoyer90,
Try to follow my procedure of problem fix: Google or Yahoo and Symantec website search for the error code and error fix or talk to Symantec tech support and IBM tech support for the problem and the possible problem fix.
Thanks and good luck.
Sorry for the late check back in and thank you for the 2 kind replies from Arsynic & Smoyer90. Here is the fix:
1. Internet search blue screen error.
2. Symantec website search for the blue screen error fix, down load the fix file from symantec.
3. safe mode login to the problem pc, install...
Recently I did Symantec AV 10.0 upgrade in the company for a week. Everything is doing fine on the server side for a week now and I tested client web install is ok too for quite some PCs.
However as I push web client install to all users yesterday, I got 2 users PCs won't boot up this morning...
Hi All,
I need help on a high quality and integrated "Network Monitor Tool" for the network.
1. Network description:
60 router/switch/servers
200 Desktop/laptop
LAN,Voip,WIFI,Wireless,Palm pilot,Video conferencing, etc.
2. Network monitor goals:
- All network devices/hosts up and down
-...
Yes, Baddos. This is what I am thinking too. I hope that my vendor can help me out for the implementation and I will get back to this list as I put this project through.
Thanks once again, and
Have a great day.
Thank you Baddos.
I think that you might be right. However I am not quite sure. In this failover senario, there are two points of failover: Core switch level and the two floor fiber connection level.
For Core Switch Level: we may connect the two core switch with fiber port while to stackwise...
Thank you Congogrey.
My network spreads across two floors in a building. The line comes into the server room in upper floor and the network core switch in upper floor connects to fiber core switch in lower floor.
So, there are two points of failover: one is the core switches itself for each...
Thank you Lui3.
1. I intend to use 3750 instead of 3550, because 3750 is designed for the next 5 year technology while 3550 is almost out of stock now.
2. When using 3750, how to connect 2 core fiber switch to make it failover. Do we use 2 fiber ports to connect or do we use stackwise...
This is a reposting from an old thread because the problem statement has been re-defined and I would like to start a new thread for advice.
I need to re-define the problem statement as I get more info for the project: I have a network spreading on two floors in a building. Each floor has a...
Thank you Baddos and Lui3.
I need to re-define the problem statement as I get more info for the project: I have a network spreading on two floors in a building. Each floor has a Cisco Catalyst 3508 8-port fiber core switch connecting each sub-switch. The problem or risk for this design is that...
Thank you, Baddos. Actually, I can stack the two switches together on the server rack. May I ask how to connect and configure this two switch for failover? Thanks.
I have one Cisco Catalyst 3524 XL core switch (8 fiber gigabit port) connecting the company's network.
I was asked to add another switch to provide link redundancy. That is, in case the core switch (CAT 3524) fails, the other switch will automatically detect and bring up the line.
Right now...
Thanks for enormous input on the issue. It seems that we have three solutions: (BTY: it is hardware mirroring)
1. Fresh re-install and data restore: This might be the best selection, but it is time-consuming and error proning.
2. Hardware RAID disk swap with volume/partition reconfiguration...
1. It is Windows 2000 advanced server. (Sorry that I forget to include this.)
2. Good news: My client got 700MB free space after disk deframenting and reducing page files. Now free space is 800MB. And there is still rooms to clean up some users' big profiles of over 100MB. (Right now the server...
IBM NetFinity 86xx 8GB SCSI mirrored HDD almost runs out of disk space. I would like to upgrade them to two 16GB SCSI disks, and keep all the data from the current disk.]
Option 1: Server new install with application data backup restore pushing back in.
(This is not good choice right now...
A quick question for help:
Is it possible to configure VPN client IPs on Microsoft VPN server or on PIX525 for remote access authentication, that is, only specific remote host IP can access the VPN network?
(BTW, MS VPN server is behind PIX firewall.)
Thanks a lot.
