If you need a high bandwidth for upload, you will have to look out for what kind of DSL you are going for. SDSL or ADSL (synchron DSL / asynchron DSL).
An SDSL connection is the same speed for up- and download, where ADSL has grater download then upload bandwidth.
I would prefer a DSL router...
I am sorry I can´t explain in deep detail, because I´m at work right now.
This link should help you understand DNS.

That´s because your reverse lookup zone is not configured.
To do so, go to the DNS manager on your DC.
right click reverse zones and choose new zone...
you will see how to get through the setup no problem.
After that, I would go to a cdm shell and type "ipconfig /flushdns" and after that I...
Does your DNS work properly?
Have you tried "nslookup"?
What kind of network components do you use and how are they configured?
Clients -> Duplex settings/Link speed
Server -> Duplex settings/Link speed
Switch/Hub -> Duplex settings/Link speed
I hope I am helping you here...

I´d say you just stick them all into one workgroup for a start. Hook a nice little broad band router up to your switch (which all workstations are connected to), and provide all stations with "internet".
The cost is not so high, you will be able to achieve your goals very fast and you will be...

have just had a little look at it. I think that´s what you are looking for.

I´d say: Don´t worry. I have had the same issue on my domain. When the licence expires, the client will pull a new one (permanent licence), if there are some in the pool.

well, it may not be the best solution for this problem, but it does work, eaven on domains. (don´t know why though)
Just try it out on one of your clients.
You´ll see the result immediately.

hello,
try altering the NTFS permissions (if you have NTFS) on that folder.
Sharing the folder alone doesn´t alter the NTFS permissions in that folder, you need to do that separately.
Let me know if this helped.

hi there,
so you can ping the machines in head office, but does DNS work fine too?
nslookup -> fine too?
What exactly do you mean by "connection to these servers from the desk top"?
Network drive mapping? -> First try with IP, not hostname.
if that works, you ave a DNS issue I would guess...
Hi.
I´d try installing IPX/SPX on all machines.
Helps a lot on workgroups!
Works for domains too.
Let me know if it helped.
(You could try it on one client first. Should have impact immediately)
Cheers

Hi folks,
I´m having some trouble with my server farm (6x W2k server + SP4 german on HP DL380s, configured as terminal servers) running Citrix Metaframe XPe FR3. Also there are some more servers like the file server, print server and so on. I don´t think it has something to do with Citrix...
I am encountering some IMA logs in the event viewer.
I have not tried "Chfarm" and joining the same farm again.
Yes, as I said before, the local admin account works fine for joining servers to the farm.
Thanks again folks
I have a XPe farm containing 6 servers all running W2k server + SP4 an FR3. Have had the same issue. Just put the group "domain users" on every printer with "print" and "manage printer" rights. No problems since.
If someone could tell me how to lock the permissions down further I would...
Another tip is to use UPHClean 1.5d on your server.

check that out.
Worked fine for me in conjunction with W2k GPOs.
I know you have NT. I´d give it a try anyway.

Hi Redsydus,
in the pased you could retrive eval keys from the citrix website. you can´t anymore now :-(
I´de try contacting a citric distributor and ask for an eval licence (because you really like citrix and want to buy it soon, but not without testing first).
I got some licences this way...
