SNMP on AIX 5.1 Grrrrr... Whats the deal?

Sloop, No we haven't. I have done some research on SolarWinds and the Host-Resource-Mib. From what I have gathered, the Orion product will not work even in the new release. In order to properly monitor these boxes, you need the Engineer's tools with the SNMP RealTime Viewer, MIB Walk and MIB...

SNMP on AIX 5.1 Grrrrr... Whats the deal?

We have 6 IBM AIX 5.1 boxes and I want to get SNMP running on them so that we can track usage with SolarWinds. My AIX guy can get the snmpd daemon running in the right community, but all I can see are the interfaces and not CPU, DISK, etc. We also have Oracle 9 and want to monitor that for...

    local routing

Hi, I am currently sniffing AIX servers on a Cisco 4507 box. The servers are ether-channeled at the box and at the switch, so I am mirroring the port-channel. I am using EtherPeek and in the expert as well, I am seeing local routing as well. Is this a product of the mirror as well? dj
