Thanks for replying. All userids and passwords are correct because I can connect to the database. I think the problem is on the dba rebuilding and/or changing the database and I have to work with CA and the dba to correct the change. Thanks

By clean, do you mean performing maintenance or starting with a new database?

I am about to upgrade to BAB9 but have free upgrades for BAB11. Should I go straight to v11 or wait until the problems are ironed out? Also, are the remote agents for v7 running smoothly with BAB9?

I had similar tape errors on the same Msl5026 and discovered I was using the compaq tape drivers. Arcserve sometimes have a problem with this. Disable the compaq drivers and see what happens.
