E8604 failed to start backup

Complete error: E8604 failed to start backup dbname=archive log ec=backup agent error (208) "cannot read/write file". Also, if anyone has a link to the most common oracle backup errors I would appreciate it. Oracle 9i database using v11.0 agents

Don't know much about DB backups, best I could say is debug it. FAQ under ARCserve forum tells how.

What kind of authentication are you using on your DB and does the username and password you have setup on the Agent have rights to the DB?

Thanks for replying. All userids and passwords are correct because I can connect to the database. I think the problem is on the dba rebuilding and/or changing the database and I have to work with CA and the dba to correct the change.
