Sorry to confuse you guys.
I have a application that uses alot of data input, so instead of pressing the tab-key every time to go from field to field, it would be more sensible to use the enter-key and not the tab-key.
I want the system to think that when the enter-key is pressed, it thinks it...
Frederico,
Thanks for the reply. I was hoping to get away from having to code this on overy field in the complete suite of modules.
I am sure there is a way it can be coded in the cobol.cbr but I am not sure how.
Kindest Regards,
Mike
Hi guys,
Is there an easy way to make powercobol think that the return-key is the tab-key using the cobol.cbr file.
I like using the enter key to go around a page (just like the old DOS days) and it is much easier on the fingers when entering numbers.
Many thanks,
Mike
Glenn,
You are right. I checked the code to populate the listview (along wth your comments) and I think I have got it.
The examples are O.K. but they just stop short of giving you enough to make it sensible.
Thanks again,
Mike
Glenn,
Below is my code for populating the listview. I want them to be able to sort the columns (working well) and then press the print button to create a report based on the new listing. e.g. what was originally in row one might now be in row 76.
Many Thanks for the prompt reply.
Mike...
Hi Guys,
I am driving myself stupid with this problem.
I have a fully populated listview in report form that the user can click on each of the columns (7 of them) and sort based on each column.
I then want to be able to press a command button and take the details from each row and print them...
We are certainly singing from the same hymn sheet. Runtimes are the biggest issue for me also.
I will look at samples 25 26 and 27. I tried using cgi samples and tied myself in knots. I am not am html programmer - only cobol.
Any help or assistance is more than welcome.
many thanks for your...
Tom,
Surely support / help on understanding tthe vagaries of the manuals comes out of the annual maintainance contracts.
The problem with run-time licences is that there is no flexibility for small programmers to write "utility programs" with very little value - as when it comes to sell the...
Tom,
We used to use Liant, and the original Cobol-Wow. We had no problem with RM/Cobol-85 EXCEPT for the runtime licences. This was why we moved over to Fujitsu.
I have the ability within the fujitsu to use API calls - if I could understand the manuals. I personally have not found the Fujitsu...
Thanks Tom for the prompt reply.
I have fujitsu indexed files that hold a product file.
The perceived method is
go and get the initial list e.g. group file.
Select the required group
go and get the second list e.g. products file.
I then want to be able to check the box relevant boxes and add...
Your help is much appreciated. I am still waiting for the evaluation s/w from Cobolscript.
When I get it, I should be able to decide whether or not it is feasable.
I want to be able to display data from a product file on the web and then perform a shopping cart function.
Is this easy with cobolscript. I have the fujitsu manuals and software (using cgi) but I have not found it very user friendly.
Any help / assistance is more than welcome. I am based in...
I am a fujitsu cobol programmer and need to send / receive data to / from web pages.
Is any body using cobolscript and
a) is it very different from cobol
b) is it easy to use - code
c) is it easy to call from fujitsu progams
Many thanks in advance
Is anybody using the fujitsu cobol and using the cgi links. I have read the on-line manual but when I build the sample application using the wizard it does not work. Am I missing something. I have v6.1 running on a w2k pro w/s with a windows 2003 SBS.
Many thanks in advance
