I had a simular problem. Same error.
The dos program didn't start because it was not on exactly the same location as it was on the old machine.
Also point the startup dir to the data dir.

Try this one.
Open Word.
Start REC Macro
follow these steps.
1. press page-dwn ones
2. hold the Shift and Contrl keys and hit the End key.
3. Press backspace
In the main menu press the print button.
Stop REC macro
For the future just schedule winword to startup with the new created...
