Couldn't find anywhere specific to post this, so I'm hoping one of the regular guru's can help...

I have a report from a software package, just a pure text file, that I have to print off the first page of every day. I have it printing from the command prompt as a scheduled task, but that prints the whole report, and wastes a lot of trees. Does anyone know a way to specify just a single page to print? Could I get Word to open it instead and then fire off a 'print page 1' command with a macro?

Cheers

Hai,

Try this one.
Open Word.
Start REC Macro
follow these steps.
1. press page-dwn ones
2. hold the Shift and Contrl keys and hit the End key.
3. Press backspace

In the main menu press the print button.
Stop REC macro

For the future just schedule winword to startup with the new created macro.

ps.
You wil have to assing a name to the macro NOT a key.

Cheers for that, Word does seem to be the only way around this.
