1- After how long should you expect a HDD failure, my hard disc (Hitashi 180GXP Deskstar) is 2years old and I'm starting to worry...
2- I already have a second hard disc and I want to copy the whole content of the old one into it (including games and operatioing...
Since i upgraded to the new ASUS A7N8X-E Delux motherboard, i can't get windows xp to go on stand by mode.
The stand by icon can't be clicked on when i go to start then shut down...
I think it's got something to do with my BIOS but i can't get my hand on what it is... Help please
I have an IBM 180GXP HDD running Windows Xp SP1, the problem is My HDD, seems to be doing something in the background, because the Light at the front of the case don't stop going on and off, even when the computer is idle or in screen saver mode... I tried to reinstall windows but the problem...

In the nView display settings (driver 44.03) go to tab "hot keys" and find the entry for "next display" choose a hot key for it ... and that's it

Few months ago my mhard drive crashed, I couldn't start windows nor reinstall it, so I took my HDD to a friend's computer and connected it as a slave drive, then I started the computer using my friend's HDD and accessed my Hard drive through the "My Computer", I was able to recover...
On PC mark 2002 I get a score of 1200 (at start up) then I get 750 afterward even when there's no application in the background and the DMA is in mode 5 in windows hardware list, and there's no other drive connected to the same channel !!!
