    CSS menu height?

Well, an afternoon of Googling and I have found a fix. It's kind of an "illusion" but it does what the client wanted and gets me out of a rut. All CSS, no tables and no real positioning code either. Here's a link: http://www.xs4all.nl/~sbpoley/webmatters/layout3.html Hope this helps...

    CSS menu height?

Well, nesting those two divs in another div didn't work. I tried various methods and nothing seems to extend the menu column any further than the last link or any amount of padding I set. Any other ideas? Anyone?

    CSS menu height?

I'm transitioning a site from HTML to XHTML 1.0 Transitional w/ CSS and have hit a snag. I've found that with tables, my left column menu runs the length of the screen. If the right column content is longer than the menu, I get blank space on the left with my menu's background color. Using CSS...

MC in a button's over state... how to keep it on?

Cool... okay, I won't have time to try this today, but its first on my list tomorrow. This isn't for anything in particular, I just have interesting ideas sometimes but lack the know-how to make the tangible. My "what I want to do" is far exceeding my "what I know how to do&quot...

MC in a button's over state... how to keep it on?

Oldnewbie Well, I got that to work just like I was thinking it would, but now I've encountered another problem... Here's where I'm trying to go with my end result. Imagine a dot that appears to rise up (zoom or expand) when you mouse over it, then falls with a little "bounce" back...

animating text to appear as if "writing"

There is a post below "painting along animated line" or something to that effect. I think this is what he was talking about, but it sounds exactly like what you're talking about. Let me know if this is it... http://www.flashkit.com/tutorials/Animation/eScribe_-Bryan_Hu-575/index.shtml

MC in a button's over state... how to keep it on?

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I'm not to hot with the action scripting, but that one looks easy enough. I can see why your name tops the experts list!

    Painting along line animation???

If you want it to look as if the G is getting drawn, or written out, try making a layer with the G on it, then doing another layer that slowly animates a mask over it, revealing the letter behind. Flashkit has a good tutorial on this, if I'm understanding you right anyway...

MC in a button's over state... how to keep it on?

I have a button with a short mc as its "over" state. The mc plays fine as long as the mouse is held over the button, but I'd like it to play through and stop once moused over, even if the mouse is then moved off of the button. Does that make sense? I'm pretty good with Flash, but...

"save as" prompt when clicking a link...

LOL... no, no commas in the file name or typos anywhere. Its very odd. I've never seen an .html file that a browser wouldn't open. Plenty that wouldn't display right, but not one the browser wouldn't at least attempt to display. I'm thinking it may be some kind of a server setting. Thanks for...

"save as" prompt when clicking a link...

Why would a button on my page that is supposed to open &quot;link.html&quot;, open a &quot;save as&quot; prompt instead? Extremely easy code... <a href=&quot;link.html&quot;><img src=&quot;link_button.gif&quot;></a> Any ideas?

Problem linking to .HTML pages from a .JSP

Typo in the generic link code... sorry. I should be <a href=&quot;link.html&quot;>link</a>... didn't want to get back answers telling me that was my problem.

Problem linking to .HTML pages from a .JSP

When clicking a button linked to a simple .html page from my .jsp created in ultradev, I get a &quot;save this file&quot; or &quot;open from location&quot; prompt instead of the file just opening and displaying in the browser... Is this a server setting? Thought it might be the code, but...
