Thanks for the help.
figured out the problem. The trunk cables got reversed when the phone tech took them off to try my spare switch. Once I switched them back everything works...got them labeled now!
Have a 616 Flex with a SLA. Everything has worked fine for a long time. Switch is on a surge protector. Had a power outage and at about the same time AT&T had a 25 pair cable torn loose down the street that took out one of my CO's which had DSL and voice.
NOw my answering machine which is on...
I finally got all this stuff installed and I have a few more questions.
1. How do I program the SLA stations so that the SL phones get an outside line without dialing "81"? Can't find it in the manual.
2. capcoms said in his message that I should install the first port of the SLA to an even...
Thanks
Whats the difference between the flex and the STS? Do the 616 phones work with the STS?
Someone gave me the flex and the phones and I am planning to put it in my house since my wife absolutely hates the Cybergenie phones we have now.

Thanks Capcom...I appreciate the help.
Can I use those ports on the sla to hook up more than one cordless in different locations in the house or will I need one sla for each one?
Is there a way to get the switch into night mode without doing it manually on holidays such as noon christmas and new years eve and all day x'mas and new years day? It's programmed to go to night mode every day at 6 PM except Sat which is noon and Sunday all day except 9AM-10AM. I need to...
Do you know if a set hooked to the power failure port is live when the system is up?
Couldn't find anything in the manual about which co's it picks up on power failure.
Lousy manual compared to Mitel and Panasonic ones I have had at the office.
Telprog,
Thanks for the help. If I set up the 2 line cordless phones ahead of the switch do I need to worry about someone plugging in a digital switch to a jack that is ahead of the switch?
If yes ... any way to prevent it?
Do the phones that go to the power failure jack have one trunk? Do...
