The problem is that the PIX was misconfigured. If the PIX has been configured the same as ISA, you would not have needed to change all of the DNS entries.
MS recommended that the local AD domain be named domain.local so that there would be no cofusion, but you should be fine with the public...
they are both correct, they are reporting different infomation.. Use Windows Explorer to look at the size of the files, just like you would for any file. In this case, you said just under 7GB.
The 260 MB free, is the amount of space in the 7GB file that Exchange is not currently using...

You can change OL to not delete the email from the server when poped. does not help now, but works for future.
