Two of our users are receiving a large volume of spam from the address range 63.218.84.*

Is there any way I can block the range rather than inputting 255 individual addresses ?

Thanks

Paul

Yes, on the Access tab on the Properties of SMTP virtual server, click the Connection... button under the Connection control section. Next, select the All except the list below option, then click Add. One can specify a single compuer, a group of computers (which is what I think you're looking for), or domains.

Thanks, but the "group of computers" option appears to apply to an internal network, as it requires a subnet mask ?

Cheers

Paul

Can this be done on Exchange 5.5? , We also have few users that are receiving hundreds of spam mails and i want to block it. But i want to block it on certain mailbox only not domain wide.

How can i get the IP add. where the mails comimg from?

To find the ip address, open outlook, right click the email, select options, the ip address is in the box with the scrolbar at the bottom of the dialog box
