    If your PC is randomly shutting itself off this is often a sign that 1. Your power supply needs to be replaced or 2. Your CPU may be overheating. I would start with replacing the power supply, and then the cpu cooling fan and heat sink.

    Before buying a new MB you may want to check the coolong fans to make sure they are working properly. You should also check the powersupply voltages. Random power downs are often caused by overheating and bad power supplies.

    Find the cmos reset jumper on the mother board. It will be noted in the mother board manual (the jumper is usually red). Short the jumper for a few seconds and then put it back. Or you can take the battery out for 10 seconds or so and the cmos should reset.
