I have been running the following machine in the same configuration for 2 months. Today it started to reboot for no apparent reason. The system is;

Athlon 1700 (clocked to 1467)
Gig-byte MB GA 7ZXE rev 1.1
Win2K SP4
Geforce 3 Ti200

Full virus scan was done with Norton AV 2002 yesterday (Can't do it today, machine reboots halfway through). Several times after a reboot I'll jump into BIOS and check core temp. On average temp is about 40-45 C.

Tried to look at the event log but both the application log and system log are corrupt.

Tried to reload a new OS (XP Pro) but machine reboots before you can really get started.

I'm at the end of my rope... I'm thinking the MB is toast. Any of you guys have some suggestions?

The test ran for ~6 minutes before the system rebooted. I think I'm off to the store to get a new MB this morning...

Before buying a new MB you may want to check the coolong fans to make sure they are working properly. You should also check the powersupply voltages. Random power downs are often caused by overheating and bad power supplies.
