Yes, sorry I ment to put that in as well.
I have had these sitting in my garage for close to a year and they were working systems-the CICS and the Flash. All I did on the Flash was punch it down then powered up both systems, the CICS came up in a heartbeat.
I am having no luck restarting a used Flash talk voicemail on a CICS system. All feature codes show inactive including F983, F905, F985. The port is good as I checked with a set. In fact, I tried 3 different systems. Is there a certain procedure?
Thx, Case
Totaly agree on you're upgrade policy.
When you say not as bad as you would think, are there special offerings available now?
Thanks to other replies as well.
To answer why replace: No local service and need for advanced applications such as UM and VoIP- and it is not supported.
Thanks very helpfull, I just was'nt sure about EOL. I would not want to be without manufacture support and it would be a substancial investment to upgrade correct? Licensing, hardware and installation.
I am a Norstar / BCM systems guy and I have a buddy who is an IT manager of a medium sized business that have an Option 11C (release 22 or 23 B), and a 4 port Meridian Mail system. He said they never upgraded software or hardware.
What is the story, I recall Nortel were going to make Mer Mail...
I want to replace my companion handsets with analog phones. With companion, callers could call my desk phone extension and it would ring both devices and no answer would go to voicemail on desk extension.
In a hunt group do you have to call the hunt group DN and how does the forward to...
Does MICS 5.0 XC software allow you to set-up extensions into ring groups? I want to put a digital telephone extension in a ring group with an analog phone so when you call the digital extension (line or intercom) the analog rings as well.

I found a handbook thank you - when an ATA devise Parks a Call on MICS 2.0 and above, the retrieval code is in fact 125. You have to retrieve a call on a set before it is displayed!
There are different call timer settings that you can set on an ATA. "7" milli sec is the ATA Flash...
I am having issues using a Durafon 1X (EnGenius)analog cordless telephone on a MICS and ATA2.
1st is link timmers, any suggestions using 7 now.
2nd is Call Park does'nt seam to work, is the highest retrieval code on MICS 2.0 not 125?
You got something here but I need it clearer:)
I am using Double 8 pin IBDN jacks, and was using 2 cords.
Are saying to use bottom pins 3&4 with a 6 conductor line cord and connect it to jack 2 of the 9417.(for the page feature only - I still use the top pins 1-2 and 3-4 for the trunks)
Cheers
Thanks magup 1, we're on the same page, your wiring discription was better written. Checking the polarity was a good point. There must be something else. Has anyone been able to activate this feature ?
I am unable to get the page feature to work on the M9417 (analog)2 line telephone. When a series of these sets are wired and programed correctly, you should be able to page all sets and even add a paging horn. I have wired the jacks and telephones as directed, yet I still can't get it to work. I...
The norstar telephones do not have an output jack. You have to liven another extension and connect the ATA to it and your answer phone. You can then program the M7310 to Call Forward No Answer to the extenson of the ATA.
It sounds as though the old directory was recorded in the CCR home menu (single digit call routing ). You can either re-record it, or if you are not using this feature you can disable it. Depends on what you want to do.
It might sound like;
