Well, solved my own problem, but just for the record in case anyone was interested if you dowload the upgrade to 9.0.1 the file will open. Or... just get your boss to let you freakin upgrade to OSX! (I am, don't worry, just anxious)
Still working on this problem, there is some info on the adobe page about it- I'm trying an upgrade to 9.0.3 instead of 9.0, hopefully that helps, or someone out there has been through this before
I was just about to post this excat same question! I'm running OS9 and Illustrator 9 will not open a couple of files that I've been working on in plain .ai format. Photoshop still opens them. But apparently Illustrator doesn't "have enough memory" even though I have restarted enough...
In the apperances window you can select new stroke. This will put a stroke around your original stroke, it may help to expand apperance under the object menu first. Not sure what you mean exactly, just taking stabs in the dark
well, there are some that you can use under the effects>stylize menu in Illustrator. I only have 9 here at work and it doesn't have all of the options that PS has. i.e. bevel. Maybe there is a way to import plugins to get those, don't know
Hi all, I really need to find out how to export my Illustrator drawing into power point and still have the vectors editable, is there another program that I could export to and then save to illustrator? All of the options seem to be in raster format. Thanks.
