I checked the directory for RPC and everything looked good, right where it was supposed to be (C:\windows\system32\rpcproxy). Maybe I should clarify a bit, I'm trying to set this up for individuals that are outside my LAN, and are connecting via the internet. when I ran the RPCDIAG switch in...
I'm having trouble connecting through RPC over HTTPS with the following configuration:
Frontend server - RPC over HTTPS proxy enabled
Backend server - RPC over HTTPS enabled back end server
The front end server has a valid SSL certificate, and is currently used as the OWA server. There is a...
I'm running MetaFrame XP with SP4 and all the latest rollups and Outlook 2003 won't launch as a published application. The server is running Win2K3 SP1 with DEP turned off via the boot.ini. I've also verified that I'm using the enterprise version of Outlook. All the other Office 2K3 applications...
I've got 2 seperate Exchange Stores, but when adding a user to the second (newly created) Store, they don't show up in the Global Address List. The mailboxes show up in System Manager and you can send mail to them, but when setting up the Outlook profile, the mailbox can't be resolved. Any ideas?
I'm having an issue that Veritas doesn't know how to fix. I'm getting exceptions for *.sis files. I've tried everything from adding them to the exception list to creating the <sis common store> folder. I should mention that I'm using v10d with SP1. Some more specifics are that I'm trying to...
Does anyone know of a script that will list all ENABLED user accounts in AD? I need to come up with the total number of current users I have on my network, and I'm not really wanting to go through every OU. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for all the responses. Microsoft tech support had given me bogus information and really screwed things up at my site. They instructed me that you should only have 1 GC in each domain, so I demoted any other GC's and wow...did things really get FUBAR'd. I changed everything back, and...
Thanks for the articles, but is there anywhere on the Exchange Server where I can administer or setup automatic rules so these items won't be saved? It's hard to tell a CEO that he can't send or receive email until he deletes some of his stuff.
Can someone tell me how to setup rules on the Exchange server to permanently delete items from the <Sent Items> and <Deleted Items> folders for all the users? This is chewing up my store size.
Check out this article...it gives you step-by-step instructions.

I found some rogue accounts by following the MS article - 555147. I removed the Exchange attributes from those mailboxes and was able to remove Exchange
I recently setup an Exchange 2K3 cluster and moved all the mailboxes from the old Exchange server to the cluster. I deleted all the replication information for the old server for the public folders and such. Now when I try and uninstall Exchange on the old server, it tells me I can't uninstall...
Thanks for all the advice, this server has been the server from hell. A little background, the server ended up having a controller failure (CDROM) on the mbd, hence it would never recognize or read a CD. Because of this I could never get into refovery console. Dell is sending new mbd. Decided to...
Thats the whole issue is that I can't get into any GUI interfaces. This thing really is a POS, but there is a ton of data on it, and its a DC. The nightmare continues, it's been down for 2 days and now I've got some upper brass up my ass. Thanks for any help so far, so if you have ANY ideas...
A couple more things about the issue. The server is too old and can't boot to the cdrom, when booting up in Safe Mode, the system will loop when you try and log in locally with admin account. When trying to boot in Directory Restore Mode, the system wil reboot just after the chkdsk. I've tried...
