    Merlin, I agree. You have to get rid of the 98 machines, because logons are not required. Upgrade to win2k or xp pro. Also, if you don't have physical security, you have no security.

    Just to let you know even with two dc's you can't just take the original out of commission. Although Microsoft says there are no more primary domain controllers if you ever want to get rid of the original you have to move physical roles to another domain controller. Just a heads up for the future.

    I agree. Best way is to get t1 connection or fractional t1. Vpn's over cable/dsl can be slow. This is of course if you can afford a t1. Loop charges are typically 400 to 500 a month.
