I am going to use SUS too, and I plan to update all PC's (Approx 200) after hours - Probably about 21:00. Luckily most of our staff have the latest service pack, so it should only be updates that are installed.

Once you have setup folder re-direction, you can still save to my documents under c:\documents and settings, however the files are moved to the users home account at logoff.

Does anyone know how to deploy a wallpaper from a shared directory on the server without using active desktop? I know you could do this with NT4 policy editor, and it dodnt use active desktop.

I'm having exactly the same problem as seands. I have a gpo which hides all the icons on the desktop, and is supposed to get a wallpaper from a shared network directory. Everyone has the correct priviledges, however the wallpaper is not being set. Any ideas???
Thats it. You do not always have to specify an external time server. You can use your domain controller as a time server. The way I got rid of the error was by typing the following:
net time /setsntp:Grommit
In the above example my PDC server name is Grommit
Hope this helps.
Phil
Not sure if this is what youre after, but you could try vmware. Look at vmware.com
It allows one PC to run multiple operating systems, so the same PC can be running Windows 98, 2000, XP, Linux all at the same time.
