well I ended up creating local user accounts on two of the three machines and duplicating them on the third machine and everyone can see the fiels needed and print. never was able to find a way while keeping all three loging in via their domain account rather than local pc accounts.

I too have a similar issue, the trash can icon looks like a normal file folder. I'd tried to change it to a custom icon and then it didnt work for mor than one boot, and now I cant even get the standard icon to work.

MS claimed that win2k could take up to 20min to logon to the computer on a domain and still have it be a "normal" logon. I'd say that while its a pain to wait the 5 min, by MS standards there is nothing wrong.
