No - What I want is a group of phones to ring in a specific order, and only if the person is ready for calls.
If noone is available, or the calls make it all the way through the linear hunt group - then it overflows to 771 which rings ALL of those same phones, as well as a bunch of warehouse...
I'd like it too!

hrm - I thought I was fairly articulate when I originally composed the question.. Let me try to clarify.
I need the phones to exist (and be logged in) to the 771 ring-all group 100% of the time. I want them to always ring when you dial 771 from a phone.
However, what I'm finding is that when...
How does the headset port on a 44xxD+ phone work? I'm familiar with the MLX way of doing things, where when the "Headset Status" button is on, it just ignores the hookswitch.
Does it also start routing handset audio to the auxiliary connector when you have the Headset Status button enabled on...
Actually - Everything was configured fine.
What was happening is they WERE sending extra digits, that I couldn't see (even with the BERT attached). They were being displayed (in hind-sight), but I didn't register them as being bad.. That makes me feel like a dumbass.
Anyway - They were sending...
Greetings guys.. I've been away for awhile, but I'm glad to be back. :)
I need to know if there is a way to put a phone into a calling group, that it can never be logged out of? (Using the ES2 button)
I've got a number of extensions that are being rung with the 770 CG, it's configured for...
You know, I completely understand the concept of doing things yourself, but the idea of hand-making desi's is absolutely rediculous!
Presuming your time is worth between $1 or $2/minute (that's $60-$120/hr)..
You could print TWO Desi strips (at 0.50/ea) for a customer's phone at that price...
Greetings guys!
I'm setting up a DID number that when it rings in, it will immediately be routed to my AA. (the calling group is 790)
Should I be able to have my CLEC send me the "790" digits, and the phone system will handle that like I believe it should, or do we need to do something else...
Email me please as well! jcaturia AT katratech dot com
Just like with merlinman, you'll have to do some simple substitution to make that a valid e-mail. :)

This customer has a Partner Mail R3 - I know I can change the business schedule in the voicemail unit itself, but I don't like doing that because it's difficult (or impossible?) for the customer to override.
This is useful in cases where they are having staff meetings, sales rep lunches, the...
Greetings guys!
I've got an ACS R6, and the customer keeps forgetting to put the system in Night Service mode when they go home at night.
Is there a way to SCHEDULE this to happen automatically, just like I can do with a Legend? Please tell me this is possible. It seems rediculous that this...
Normally you'd be right.. except the system that I'm printing reports out on is the TEST system. It's currently sitting on the shelf in their phone room, staying safe, until I go back onsite to continue battling this thing.
I haven't actually installed the 100D board (either one of them) into...
That's cool! So some amount of daisy-chaining is actually allowable. I would have thought that wouldn't work..
One of my customers (a tele-marketing company) has two full voice T1's, and when they open a branch office, I'd like to see if I can just network the two locations, rather than have...
The circuit has been delivered to the customer's physical location.
The CLEC is using a Lucent 5E switch. This is their "T-Fire" service offering, which means they bring in a full T1, and split it out using a Vina T1 integrator. Data comes out an ethernet jack on the integrator.
I'm also...
Merlinman:
Please do tell how you're doing this. I've always though it would be difficult, since the Legend/Magix systems can only have 3 T1 boards in the system.
Thanks!

hey whadda-ya know!
I have two seperate MLS-18D's, both with bad MWI's. I tested with a different MLS-12, and the light was already on when I plugged the phone in. :)
Now I know how to test for the future..
Thanks for the knowledge!
- Joel
Yes, port 4 on the voicemail is connected to ext #17.
I'll have to attach my test set later, next time I'm in the lab. I can watch it go offhook on the voice card (red light), but I never see the green light blink (light it's generating tones).
exsmogger: How do I initiate said light test? I...
I can confirm that even when I do F09-xx, I still don't get my WMI's to light, on two seperate phones!
So what on earth could be causing that?? Is there stuff that fails inside these ACS R1's that could cause that particular issue?
