Greetings all..

I am trying to get a two-way DID T1 circuit working. I am able to make and take calls on the circuit, but the Magix R3 is confused by the digits being sent down from the CLEC - and it's constantly overflowing to the operator extension. (I get the "Cover DID#?" message)

The circuit is provisioned as TIE T1, ESF B8ZS, Wink/Wink, Tone/Tone.

The first NINE channels are live, and have I set them as "TIE", and the rest are "UNEQUIPPED". I've confirmed all nine channels are operational with the *03 trick.

My CLEC is sending me THREE digits, which exactly matches my dial plan (The DID's are xxx-1700, so they're absorbing 5, and adding a prefix of "1", which gets me my numbers).

I have even had them ABSORB ALL 7 DIGITS, and just SEND "101" all the time, I still get the "Cover DID#?" message on my operator console.

The circuit works 100% for sending and receiving calls, except for the fact the DNIS routing portion is not happening.

I am sitting in the CLEC's data center (about 200 feet from their switch), and their engineer has been working with me all day today trying to get this to work right.

What am I missing!? I'm going back tomorrow, and I'll be using monitor mode this time to debug the T1 circuit and confirm that I actually am being sent the digits that I require.

Thanks guys!

How 'bout this:

Print T1, TIE line and GENERAL Trunk info and email it to me and I'll look and see.

If it takes more, then we may have to do that as well.

What part of the country are you in Groundwire?

I'm in Olympia, Washington..

Next time I'm onsite, I'll print out said reports.

Thank you for the response!

Normally you'd be right.. except the system that I'm printing reports out on is the TEST system. It's currently sitting on the shelf in their phone room, staying safe, until I go back onsite to continue battling this thing.

I haven't actually installed the 100D board (either one of them) into THEIR production system, since I haven't been able to make it work on my test system yet.

Once we make it work, it'll immediately go into production use.

Just a thought, are the digits coming TouchTone or Pulse??
Might want to check that you are matched in the settings.
Good luck.

Actually - Everything was configured fine.

What was happening is they WERE sending extra digits, that I couldn't see (even with the BERT attached). They were being displayed (in hind-sight), but I didn't register them as being bad.. That makes me feel like a dumbass.

Anyway - They were sending two asterisks (**). After I brought this to the attention of the CLEC, they went into their switch - and they ended up turning off "Feature Group D". In case anyone is unfamiliar with this, it's what allows them to send you caller ID information (ANI) over a normal channelized T1. The Legend/Magix just doesn't support it.

Mind you, I wasn't GETTING any ANI, just the asterisks that seperated the different data fields.

Once they turned Feature Group D off for my circuit, everything started to work swimmingly.

Thank you for everyone who spent time on this issue, including merlinman. You *ARE* the man..

Case closed!
