Is there any way of sending administrative messages to all mailbox users for Exchange 5.5? I would like to send warnings to users without using my own mailbox also didn't like the ideal of spaming from the service account.
Just out of curiosity you wanted to connect the "real outlook" to you laptops? If you had outlook on the laptops did you create offline folders use? This creates an .ost file on the laptop and configures itself to syncronize with your exchange system through an ISP. It's recommended...
I am very confused on where you want to give yourself rights to open up the mailbox? Did you make sure that you gave yourself permission for the VR account and set the SEND AS check off button? Also in Outlook set the Authentication to NONE, logon and add the account mailbox to your OPEN THESE...

Quick question, do you have all mailboxes or the first setup to prompt for a user in tools-options-mail services? Are the people who are not able to log on getting a access error or cannot find server?
Is there anyway to hide a mailbox so that only certain users or department can view it? I don't want to check the hide from address book as this will hide from everybody in the advance tab.
In the Exchange Resource kit there's a utility that's called header.exe you can export from this to see your objects and simply take the address field or whatever and enter your information and import back into your global list. It's also easier to take this txt file and convert it to a .csv...
