The usb is defenitely usb 2.0. The laptop has a HP card in it and the usb dongle is from Gigabyte. I don't see why these two devices shouldn't be compatible. They are reletively new pieces of hardware.

I,ve just bought a AMD Athlon XP 2500 and a recommended fan and heatsink. The heatsink came with a thermal pad. Should I rather remove the thermal pad and use thermal compound. Or is the thermal pad just as good?
