Heavy?? Symmetra LX 16kVA plus LX Ext. Run RM

Hi everyone, Just a logistics question. I'm planning to replace our equipment sometime around 2010 with new blade servers. To adequately support them, I used the APC configurator which suggested a Symmetra LX 16kVA with an additional "Extended Run RM w/3 SYBT5" battery. Now, the last time I...

    Forwarding Calls into Oblivion

Hello everyone, Someone here has been annoyed a few too many times from automated sales calls and is looking to find some vengeful satisfaction by sending those calls into a line that simply allows the sales call to continue until the other party disconnects. So far, I have recommended that...

We have a couple of fax machines running from the POTS lines that have been receiving an annoying amount of junk faxes. I was wondering if anyone has had any success in reducing the number of...

    Erasing Data

Make sure you have the latest HotSync software (4.1.4e I believe). Sync the old Treo first to back up all the information for the other agent, then with the correct Treo for that agent just sync and point it to the profile for that agent. It should restore all of the information for him. On...

    Remote File Sync without VPN

Hi everyone, Does anyone know if it is possible to get an up-to-date version of a file (e.g. spreadsheet) located on my desktop without the use of a VPN? Typically, I would sync the file when my Treo 650 is physically on the HotSync dock, but I'm on the road alot so remote access to the file...

VB Studio upgrade from 2002 to 2005

Hello everyone, Before I potentially waste a few hundred bucks, does anyone know if it is possible to upgrade Visual Studio from 2002 to 2005 with the VS.Net 2005 Upgrade? Or will I have to buy the full VS.Net 2005 package? Thanks, Paul

External battery connector to UPS sparked small fire

The connectors have housings shaped like an upper case "B" so that they can only fit one way. I'm not sure what caused the problem, however normally when I have connected these batteries there would be a slight spark, not a massive one like this that melted the connectors.

External battery connector to UPS sparked small fire

I just recently purchased an APC SmartUPS 2200RMXL3U along with the external battery pack (SU48R3XLBP). Right after unpacking and mounting in the rack, I connected the batteries in each, then proceeded to connect the external battery pack to the UPS. What happened next was shocking. [afro]...

    Help...Need updated OS for NS-5GT

As far as I know, Netscreen/Juniper requires a support contract for updates. It's been a debatable issue with some people, but that's how Netscreen has been doing it for a while. I've had to buy extended support contracts for Netscreens before through my vendor, much to the dismay of my...

    No Access to Database

Well, I was finally able to get the database opened. I tried the R6 method mentioned above about using a full access admin to open the database, but that didn't work. We eventually found someone who had editor rights to the db, so we were able to view the ACL. Apparently an ex-employee as...
