I have just spoken with my manager and IBM Director 4.12 has went gold but customer web sight is not available. You can access most of the code from the the web sight listed above. However not all of the code is there (i.e. The UIM code is not there). If this does not work properly or is missing...
!!!WARNING!!!
IBM Director 4.12 has not shipped this is a test web sight for the team that is testing the IBM Director 4.12 code. DO NOT USE THIS the code may not be at gold code level and will not be supported by IBM.
I will let everyone know when the code is ready and the web sight to go to...
Not sure if you have access to this software, but if you have Ghost make an image of the good system then ghost it to the one that is not working and that should fix the problem. We do this all the time in my lab and it works great if the hardware is the same.
To my knowledge TME does not have any trap forwarding ability built into it. To get traps to go to both you will need to set up a server that is dedicated to trap forwarding and send all traps there.
But much easer would be to reconfigure the SNMP on the agent systems to send their traps to...
You will need to goto this address:
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/us/search/index.html
Enter the model-type for your system (i.e. 1111-11A).
Look for the Hardware Maintenance Manual.

Check out the post listed in IBM servers forum posted on 01/14/04 (posted 01/13/04). The thread is IBM Netfinity 5000.
techieGeek has some good trouble shooting info that should help you.

From my understanding of Director this should disable all alerts related to disk space.
I will look into this on our Director enviornment and see what it does.

To answer your question about the video card. If you add a video card the BIOS should disable the onboard video for you and yes that should free up your RAM.
Hope this helps.

Later this year IBM is to release a Version of IBM Director that will give you the temp readings on a Linux OS as long as the hardware will support temp readings. You may want to check their websight for more info on when this realease will ship. (It is free software as long as you run it on a...
You should know that if you add a PCI video card to this system you will need to "edit" your monitor adapter to fit into the small slot on the back. Just take a knife and shave off some of the top and bottom of your monitor plug and it should work fine. We had to do this to get this...
I just took a look at my server and it looks like you can open the Event Browser, right click on the event, and select MIB Browser. This should bring up the MIB Browser and allow you to define messages for thoes traps. However I think it would be better if you could get the MIBs from the makers...
I am rather new to CA but from my experence I would check with the router companies and see if they have a add-on function for CA. You may be able to install a package from them that will load the MIBs that you need to interpret the traps you are recieving.

What is happining is that your HPOV server is it is sending an SNMP poll to a device and has a set period of time for the device to respond. If that device is a high use device like a router it my be too busy to respond before the time out. I would suggest trying this during a low network usage...
If you are planning to add a processor you should know that IBM systems require a VRM to power the second processor. This needs to be purchased from IBM. It should come with the Processor if you buy it from IBM.

I have not seen this trap before. However I have been a NetView Admin for 3 years. This looks like you have not installed the required MIB so that NetView will know what the trap is.
If you are asking "what the trap is?" so you can find the missing MIB I think you will need to get a...
