I have a table called Student. Two fields called NCY (number) and surname (char). I want to add ZZZ to the start of the field Surname when the NCY = 99.
So the field STUDENT.Surname = Bloggs will become ZZZBloggs if he has NCY = 99.
Can you help me with the commands for this?

Make a rough selection round the person. Hit Ctrl Shift and P to promote the selection. Hit Ctrl C swap to your other background file and chose paste as new layer. I think that should do it.

I don't think you'll have any problems having both on your system. I've had X and X2 on the system at the same time.

Hm, I think you would need a printer that could cope with this in order to do it. Then you could create a document the is very big say A0 or A1 size or possibly a very long document. (Depending on what you are trying to do.)
So the answer is (I think) it depends on your printer/driver.

It's really hard to tell what is wrong without knowing exactly what you were trying to do. Which batch process routine were you using?

I don't think it is fixed actually. I got a message when saving one of my images saying that exif will be lost, continue Yes/No. You can see a list of what has been fixed and known problems on their site and I think I remember that being one of the known problems.

Checked it out. The new Express Lab is useful as is the watermarking action. It will save me a bit of time. I like the black and white 'filter' too. It's a bit like Picasa's black and white which I thought was great. If you do a lot of scanning then the crop to new images will save you a bit of...
The reinstall just might do it. I had some problems with PSP X and they recommended that I set up a new user on my pc and see if it behaved (which it did). So I had to assume that it was something I had installed for my main user that was interfering with it. You could try what I did if...
Rob it's ages since I used version 7 but I don't remember that happening to me then and it doesn't happen in PSP X. Sorry to give you an answer that doesn't tell you anything but rather than leave your question with no replies...
One way to get the screen shot you want would be to hit the print...
I take photos for a living. You do not need permission to photograph people if they are in a public place (although I would ask if they minded if I were to be making them a prominent part of the image. It's just courtesy.)
Number plates, well you can see a number plate on a car in the street...
You could use the dodge tool to lighten the eye glint. Have it set on Highlights and set the opacity to around 10% and go over it as many times as you need to the required effect. It's more controllable than using the teeth whitener. I use it for the teeth too!
Try using burn on 5% opacity, set...
Next time use the magic wand to select the background. If the background is a uniform white it should be easy. Make sure the contiguous tick box is clear and then it will search out all white areas even in the middle of Os and Ps etc. Hit delete and this should take away all the background...

Sorry for not replying sooner Missy. I've been on leave.
Answer me a couple of questions first.
Does your picture have a plain white background? Or does it have a different colour? Or is the background graduated (does it start with one colour/shade and graduate to another?)?
Have you found...

Ah but if you understand txt spk (I have a teenage daughter) then you will realise that that's not what she wants to do. She wants to outline the people in her picture not the box/frame. (I think [dazed] )

The dropdown box is the one that appears when you click on the little arrow to the right of icons (the pictures that represent things.
No, it's not a way to colour the background, it's a way to get a line around the pictures (pix). You don't have to use black and white. With my instructions...
