    cdogg, thx, The monitor I am using is Mitsubishi, DiamondPoint V91LCD; and the hook up is exactly the way you have mentioned above. I also had the memory checked out, just in case, as I am running out of options and it also is fine.

    Tried a new power pack, but with no satisfying results, Could it be a motherboard issue, cause since I have already done a system restore on a replaced HD I am doubting that it can be a software issue, but then again I could be wrong.

    Just a thought, could it be a Power Supply problem which may not be supplying enough power to the HD after the Sleep mode?

    Updated BIOS to Ver 5.43 Once in a while the computer instead of stand-by it will restart itself in about 3 seconds.

    I can tell that it responds because the the power light on the computer comes on, I can hear the heat fans come on and the cdrom starts as well; power savings on all devices are turned to off, I do not have the hibernate option also I forgot how to get into BIOS; the HD test showed all OK.

    Thank You Paul, But now, what happens is that where you enter the section break, a blank page is inserted and I cant move the text up unless I cut and paste it. If I do cut and paste, then that page wont show number 1, but the following pages will continue as normal, 2, 3, etc.... . Nick

    Hello Alright this is the thing ~ For a backup/clone tried to use windows prog for system backup without any success, tried the EaseUs backup prog and it worked fine, now I have an exact copy of my existing HD in case of a failure. Thx to all for your input. Nick
