No... On the campus, I have over 250 systems total.... and use 10 workgroups. Not having this problem anywhere else. I just put these 10 new systems in this lab and all are fine except these 2. This group has been in place for years; it is not new.
On 2 computers, I do not get the Welcome... on all other systems I am getting the message and they are fine. It is these 2 that never give me that message and the workgroup name goes back to default.
I have my workgroup name saved and it is fine until I reboot. Once I reboot it changes back to the default name. I am administrator and have no idea how to fix this problem.
I formatted and re-partitioned a drive for a fresh install of win xp. Now when I boot, it stops and asks which operating system to boot to. One is good but the other just stalls then reboots the system. I need to remove this fake one. Is there any way to get this off without reformatting...
